The experience
The Mara Awakening is built for travellers stepping into their first Kenyan safari, or anyone who wants a complete Mara experience without a long itinerary. Over three days, you'll wake before sunrise for game drives across open plains, watch the light change over the Mara River, and spend evenings around the fire hearing what your guide has seen that week.
This expedition moves at an unhurried pace — long enough to see the Mara properly, short enough to fit into almost any trip to Kenya.
Your itinerary
Nairobi → Maasai Mara
Depart Nairobi in the morning by road or air. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive as the Mara comes alive in the golden evening light.
A full day in the wild
An early-morning game drive to catch predators at their most active, a midday break at camp, and a second drive in the afternoon to track the Mara's resident prides and herds.
Mara → Nairobi
One final sunrise game drive before breakfast, then depart for Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.
